A city shop for wild flowers

Landet Järna is a small shop for wild flowers and plants from the forests outside of Stockholm, and if you like, you can get the vintage lab bottles they are displayed in as well. Since they are following the seasons of the Swedish nature, the range of what you will find on their shelves varies greatly throughout the year. To give you an idea : cut branches, tiny oak trees, lingonberry bushes, ferns, and dried flowers hanging from the ceiling or pressed and arranged into framed artworks. [1]

Locally-produced, organic, biodynamic and wild plants in season, easily accessible downtown. Bouquets reminiscent of gardens, woodland walks and summer retreats. The project is run by Elsa Owl and sisters Maria and Johanna Horn. Elsa is an architect and has worked in Stockholm and Tokyo, Maria is a landscape architect and has worked for many years in London, Johanna is an educator with a background in sewing and fashion. In an urban environment, it is a rare luxury to have a garden or allotment and it is not always easy to get out into nature. The idea is to provide city dwellers with a piece of nature.
