International artists from the fields of graphic design, urban art and illustration transformed the hotel into the world’s most exciting and creative lifestyle hotel: the Hotel FOX. At the same time, the best students of the top European hotel and catering schools competed for scholarships. The successful candidates was invited to present their new cooking and catering ideas in Copenhagen at Hotel FOX.

In their own words : "The story of Hotel Fox begins with the launch of the car Volkswagen Fox. 21 international, young artists were chosen to do the most spectacular design hotel the world had ever seen. The 21 artists were given no restrictions: They were told to decorate the 61 rooms exactly like they wanted. This resulted in 61 unique pieces of art where everything from carpets to pillows to wall decorations was created specifically for the single room. As our guest at Hotel Fox, you become a living part of a 3D piece of art. Perhaps you are the teenager in the boy’s bedroom with your sandbag and your boxing gloves in the corner. Perhaps you are out camping. Or perhaps you are the princess on the pea. At Hotel Fox, you can be part of any adventure."
