Pins and needles

24 pinball machines in the heart of Los Angeles. In a large warehouse in Los Angeles, behind a massive rolling metal door, there is a room full of awesome pinball machines. A labor of love, Pins and Needles is a public arcade filled with privately owned pinball machines made available for everyone to enjoy by founder Molly Atkinson.

Pins and Needles has one of the most unique collections of pinball machines in the country, carrying a great collection of fun late ’70s / early ’80s pins, some early electro-mechanicals, and also some of the best modern games around. Full list here. Pins and Needles is located within a giant band practice building in Echo Park. The doors to the building are nearly always open, and the proprietress, Molly, has set up some pins in the lobby. Pins and Needles is generally open in the evenings. One sure way to make sure it’s open is to email or text Molly. Read more on the video coverage here.
