Weylandt good living philosophy

Chris Weylandt is a designer furniture retailer in South Africa with a very active business profile. Apart from the stores and online presence in the furniture trade, he has created a small niche by incorporating elements of interior design, food and relaxed entertainment, binding them all together in a hollistic view, that he has named the Weylandt good living philosophy. The spin off projects include The Tasting Room and The Kitchen on Maison Estate, a renovated vineyard and estate, turned gourmet restaurant, and the in store restaurant, simply named The Kitchen.

Incorporating the already successful Weylandts The Kitchen concept, The Tasting Room and The Kitchen at Maison offers vintages by winemaker Antwan Bondesio, a local menu by chef Arno Janse van Rensburg, and beautifully crafted Weylandts furniture and lighting fixtures. Chris and his family once used to live in the converted homestead.

Next time you’re planning an all-day shopping trip, make sure you check out The Kitchen, a recently-launched bistro on the top floor of Weylandts’ flagship Durbanville store.

Chris Weylandt, founder of Weylandts, says: "The Tasting Room and The Kitchen is an extension of our Good Living philosophy which is a celebration of relaxed living. It operates on the simple principal of producing great wine, delicious food and great design, a celebration of all that makes life good".
