Style is not all about clothing, but sartorial-consciousness definitely
plays a part. As style goes far beyond the contents of your wardrobe, the
stylish man should use ordinary pieces to create his own extraordinary look. And
while the style headers that are offered will highlight major sartorial
blunders to avoid, it doesn't stop there. Show others that you are attentive, respectful and
well-mannered. Because after all, being a gentleman is always in style.
- Wrong socks possess the maximum ability to ruin an outfit. In general, dress shoes require dress socks. Leave your white socks for sports. Color match your socks to your outfit.
- Don't wear large Vnecks when bare-chested.
- Choose your shirt the right size to fit your torso. Keep the collar in proportion and crisp.
- Go for a matching shoes and belt combination. Don't wear a belt when using suspenders.
- Go for modern chic. Not too slim-fit, not buggy, definitely well-sewn.
- Mind your clothes and your shoes. In that way they will offer you longer enjoyment.
- Accessorize. Use cufflinks, watches, sunglasses, and try to keep it more or less to those. Don't start adding bracelets, necklesses, etc., unless you have a middle name that starts with "aka".
- Try to go for 3-piece suits. Try to go for double-cuff shirts.
- Groom yourself. Your clothes should smell good, and you that is inside them, should also smell good.
- Beware of over combining or over stylising your outfit.
