Caravaggio lights by Cecilie Manz

Since its launch in 2005, the Caravaggio range has become known and loved for its distinctive and dramatic figure. The distinctive red cord and the polished surface clearly highlight one of the most striking pendant designs of the 2000s.

Caravaggio lights are a series of metal pendants with an eye-catching high gloss lacquer, created by designer Cecilie Manz.  The suspension technology is masculine in construction, creating the right counterbalance to the shade's feminine lines. Caravaggio is characterised by direct light without glare. The uplight from the pendant's top also adds to the room's ambient light. This pendant is named after the Italian Baroque painter Caravaggio, who is known for his dramatic paintings with large constrast between light and shadow. Available in six sizes and seven color combinations, to find the one suitable for your interior design in hotels, cafés, restaurants, retail shops and private homes. Caravaggio is also available as a floor or table lamp. Available to purchase from here.

Creating a simple, soft design for small and large pendants was the main idea behind Cecilie Manz' Caravaggio series. The curves passed through a number of shapes during the design process, with this final version capturing the feminine form. Cecilie runs her own studio in Copenhagen, DK.
